Mountain Croft Felted Fleece was born out of a desire to slow down our lives. A chance to reconnect with the land and nature, and find a new way to help support our farms. Crafting to create something beautiful out of what is nowadays considered to be a waste product. Trying to find a new way or going back to the old ways of farming once again ethical and sustainable.

Mountain Croft Felted Fleece is based in the glorious Pendle Hill Countryside in a remote part of Lancashire. Where two friends along with their families have neighbouring farms.

Having an extra income from our fleece allows us to be able to set aside more of our land for rewilding and environmental schemes making it an Ethical and sustainable product.

We feel so blessed to be able to work and craft together stilling our minds and working with wool. It is something we truly love doing and have so much fun whilst feeling excited at the end product as each Felted Fleece is truly unique, and we love how we can take something natural from our land and craft it for your home for you to enjoy.

The fleece can be used to enhance your home by bringing something wild and primitive into it whether as a rug , throw , wall hanging , chair pad or even a pet bed (animals absolutely love these and as wool is antibacterial they don’t smell).
